Dayanand Sagar Silk Fabric

You can find us up on the first floor of No. 43/1 in Siddanna Lane. It is right in the middle of Cubbonpet, which is always a hive of activity. Dayanand Sagar Silk Fabric is a small setup, mostly just a few rooms filled with silk. The lane is narrow, so it is always a bit of a squeeze getting things in and out. We spend most of our time dealing with the different textures and colors of silk that come through here. It is not a corporate office with air conditioning and fancy chairs. We have wooden benches and stacks of fabric everywhere you look. We do not really follow a strict 9-to-5 schedule; we stay until the day's work is finished. People who come to visit us are usually locals or people who have been buying from us for a long time. We do not do much in the way of advertising. We just rely on how our silk actually looks when people see it. Sometimes the lighting in the lane is not great, but we know our way around every corner of this floor. It is a lot of manual sorting and checking for any little snags in the weave. We handle everything ourselves, from the heavy lifting to the paperwork. It is just how we do things here in Cubbonpet. We are used to the noise from the street and the constant flow of people moving past our building. It feels like we are right in the heart of the action.
