Cookie Man

You can find us in Thavarakere, situated on Hosur Road at number 21. It’s a busy stretch of road, like most parts of this area. The main thing people notice when they get close is the smell of the cookies. We bake them right here, so that sweet scent is always hanging in the air. We spend a lot of our time monitoring the ovens and making sure the batches don't stay in too long. There’s a lot of tray sliding and cooling involved. We sell them by weight or in little tins. It’s not a complicated business model. We just have the dough, the heat, and the customers. A lot of people stop by while they’re waiting for a bus or just walking to the nearby shops. It’s a small space, so it doesn't take much to keep it clean, but we’re always tidying up the crumbs. We don't use any big marketing words to describe what we do. We just make cookies and hope people like them enough to come back. The staff here is pretty small. We mostly just talk about what needs to be restocked or how the oven is acting up. It’s a practical job. We’ve been on Hosur Road for a while now, and we’ve seen the traffic get worse every year. But we just stay inside and keep the baking going. It keeps us busy from morning to night.
