Cookie Man

Cookie Man is tucked away in Pune at Shastri Chowk, specifically at 111/21 in BTM Layout. It’s a small shop, and you can usually smell the oven from the street before you even see the door. We spend a lot of time in the back kitchen. It gets pretty hot back there, especially in the afternoons. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of locations. It's just a local spot where we bake things and hope people like them. The counter is small, and sometimes there's a bit of a wait if several people walk in at once. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a bench outside that’s seen better days. The neighborhood around Shastri Chowk is always moving, so we try to keep up. We use the same equipment we’ve had since we opened. It’s reliable, even if it makes a lot of noise. We write the daily specials on a chalkboard near the register. Sometimes the handwriting is a bit messy because we’re in a rush. If you come by, you might see bags of flour stacked in the corner. That’s just how it is when you’re working with limited space. We’ve stayed at this BTM Layout address because it feels like home now. The locals know us by name, and we know which cookies they usually pick out. It’s a simple way to spend the day.
