Concept Engineers

Concept Engineers is tucked away near GD High School here in Indira Nagar. You can usually hear the kids playing outside during their breaks while we are inside working. We’ve stayed at number 80 for quite some time now. It’s a handy location for us. Most of the people working here live close by, so we don’t have to deal with too much traffic in the mornings. Our day usually starts with a quick check of what came in the previous evening. We handle a variety of engineering bits and pieces. Some days it is small repairs, other days it is something more involved. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but it has everything we need to get the jobs finished. We have a few old machines that still work better than the new ones. My father used to say that if a tool works, you don't throw it away. We keep things simple. There isn't a marketing department or anything like that. If someone needs something built or fixed, they just walk in and talk to whoever is available. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the local news while we wait for parts to arrive. It’s a steady life and we like the neighborhood. The school bell is our clock, telling us when the day is halfway done and when it is finally time to lock up and head home for the night.
