Christ Music School

We are located at number 44 in Ulsoor. It’s an old house that we converted into a music school. The rooms are different sizes, so some classes are in the big living area and others are in the smaller bedrooms upstairs. The walls aren't really soundproof, so you can hear the drums from the basement even when you're on the top floor. We have a lot of students who come after work or school. Ulsoor is a busy area, so there’s always something happening outside our windows. We have a small collection of instruments that students can use if they don't have their own yet. The garden in the back is a bit overgrown, but it’s a nice place for a break. Our teaching style is pretty relaxed. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just sheet music and our ears. The lightbulbs in the hallway flicker sometimes and we keep forgetting to change them. It’s a busy, messy, musical place. Most of our instructors are just local musicians who enjoy sharing what they know. We don't have a formal dress code or anything. Usually, someone has a pot of tea going in the kitchen. It’s a comfortable place to spend an hour or two. We just keep things moving, one lesson at a time. It’s been a staple in the Ulsoor neighborhood for quite some time now.
