Our office is over at 10 Race Course Road, which is actually a pretty nice part of town. You get to see a bit of greenery here and there, which is a relief compared to the more crowded areas. Being near the racecourse means it’s usually a bit quieter, though the traffic can still get a bit messy during the peak hours. We’re a team of IT folks mostly. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and trying to figure out why things aren't working the way they should. It’s a standard setup with desks, computers, and a small area where we keep the kettle. Most days are pretty much the same—come in, check the emails, and get through the tasks. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just provide the solutions people ask for. Sometimes we go out for a walk during lunch just to stretch our legs because sitting all day isn't great. The building itself is okay, nothing special, but it serves its purpose for us. We’ve gotten used to the layout and the way the light comes through the windows in the afternoon. It feels like a local spot even though we do technical work. There’s always a bit of chatter in the background, mostly about work but sometimes just about what people are doing for the weekend. It's a steady place to work and we’ve been here long enough that the security guards know us all by name.
