Blue Tantra

The shop here at Bellandur Princess Street 77/1 is called Blue Tantra. It is tucked away a bit, but people seem to find their way here eventually. We have been operating out of this space for a bit, and it has a specific feel to it. The walls are painted a simple color and we have racks of stuff lined up along the sides. It isn’t a huge place, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so people don’t trip. Every morning we open the shutters and let some air in, though the street noise comes in with it. We spend time folding things, checking the tags, and making sure the mirror in the corner is clean. It gets quiet in the mid-afternoon when the sun is high, so that is usually when we catch up on the paperwork or fix the displays. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns being here. We know the neighbors pretty well now, like the guy who runs the tea stall just down the road. Sometimes the lightbulbs flicker and we have to get the ladder out to change them. It is just a local business trying to keep things moving. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just put the items out on the shelves and wait for someone to take an interest. It is a simple way to spend the day and we like the independence it gives us.
