Balaji Engineers

We set up Balaji Engineers over in Basaveshwara Nagar at 314 4. It’s a decent enough spot for an engineering shop. Most days, you’ll find us covered in a bit of oil or metal shavings. The shop floor is always a bit cluttered with parts we are working on. We’ve got a few old machines that have seen a lot of use, but they still run fine if you know how to handle them. The morning starts with opening the shutters and letting some air in. It gets pretty hot by midday, so we keep the fans going. There’s always the smell of cutting fluid and burnt metal in the air. It’s not a place for someone who likes to stay clean. We spend our time fixing parts and making sure everything fits together the way it should. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because a bolt is stuck or a measurement is off by a hair. We just keep at it until it's right. The neighbors are mostly other small shops, so we help each other out when we need a tool or an extra hand. It’s a simple life here. We don't spend much time on computers, mostly just hands-on work. It's loud, it's messy, and it's what we do. We like the rhythm of the shop and the feeling of finishing a tough job after a few hours of sweating over it.
