B M English High School (Babuji Memorial School)

You can find us at No.112/113 in Shivanchetty Garden, right on St Johns Church Road. It’s an old part of the city, and our school has been here long enough to see the neighborhood change quite a bit. People often call us Babuji Memorial School, though the official name is B M English High School. The building is tucked away, and it has that classic look you expect from an older school in this area. We have high ceilings and heavy wooden doors that have been painted many times. Our staff is a mix of people who have been here for decades and some newer faces. It’s a busy place from Monday to Saturday. We don't have a lot of extra space, so every room is used for something important. The sounds of the street come in through the windows, but we’re used to it. We don't go in for fancy marketing or big banners. Most of our students come from the local families who have lived around Shivanchetty Garden for generations. We just focus on the classes and making sure the kids are behaving. There’s a small staff room where we all cram in for lunch and a cup of tea. It’s a bit cramped, but it’s where we get most of our planning done. We just keep things moving, focusing on the day-to-day tasks of running a school. It’s a noisy but friendly place to be most days.
