B. M. Engineering Works

Peenya is a big place, and B. M. Engineering Works is right in the middle of the 2nd Phase on the 1st Main Road. Our address is No. 65. If you walk through the doors, you won’t find any air-conditioned lobbies or plush chairs. It’s a workshop, plain and simple. We have our lathes and milling machines set up where they fit best. The floor is stained with oil in a few places, and there’s always a bit of metal shavings on the ground. We spend our days mostly working on whatever parts have been ordered that week. It’s the kind of place where you have to yell a bit to be heard over the machinery. We don't have a big corporate structure. It is just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We take the blueprints, set the machines, and watch the work. Sometimes we stay late when there is a deadline, and other times it’s a bit slower. We don't do much talking about dreams or big goals. We just want to finish the parts so they can be shipped out. The 1st Main Road gets a lot of trucks, so it’s always busy outside. We just keep the gate open for some air and get on with the manual labor. It’s what we’ve always done for our customers here in the area.
