Auto Pharma

Our place is at 2 N C Kelkar Road in Shanthi Nagar. We call it Auto Pharma. It’s a bit of a funny name but it’s been that way for a long time. We handle medicines and some general health supplies for the folks living nearby. Shanthi Nagar is a quiet place compared to the rest of the city and we like it that way. The shop is kept clean but it’s definitely not a modern fancy pharmacy. We have rows of wooden shelves that we’ve used forever. We know most of our customers by their first names because they’ve been coming here for decades. Sometimes we have to order things in if it’s a rare prescription but we usually have the basics. We spend a lot of time checking dates and organizing the stock. My wife helps me with the bookkeeping in the evenings. We don't have a website or anything like that. If people need us they just walk in. We sit on the stools behind the counter and wait for the bell to ring. It’s a slow pace of life and it suits us just fine. We aren't looking to expand or anything. We just want to keep serving the neighborhood like we always have. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound but it still works. We're just a small part of the local community here in Shanthi Nagar.
