If you head down to Electronic City, specifically over in Vinayaka Nagar near the Doddanagamangala Main Road, you’ll find us tucked away on 4th Cross. We spend most of our time out on the road though, because that is where the cranes are needed. It’s heavy work and the hours are never really fixed. Sometimes the phone rings at three in the morning because someone’s truck got stuck or a construction site needs something moved right then. We’ve got a couple of machines and we keep them as clean as you can expect for crane work. It’s greasy and loud, but it’s what we do. My uncle started this kind of thing years ago and we just kept it going. The traffic around here in Bangalore is a nightmare, so we have to plan our routes carefully otherwise we’re just sitting there wasting fuel. We’ve got a small team here, just a few drivers and helpers who know how to handle the big stuff without making a mess. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. Most days I’m covered in dust and trying to figure out how to squeeze a crane into a tight corner. We don't have a fancy office, just a place to park the equipment and a desk where we keep the logs. It works for us and people know where to find us when things get heavy. We just keep our heads down and do the lifting.
