About Arya Dance Institute – Education in Bengaluru
We’ve been at No. 19 in Chamrajpet for a bit now. It is a busy spot but we like it here. People come in mostly for the evening classes after school or work. We taught a lot of local kids over the years. Some are beginners and some know a few steps already. It gets pretty loud when the music starts but the neighbors are used to it by now. We don’t have a massive stage or anything, just a good floor and some mirrors. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to park. If you’re looking for the place, it’s right there near the main road. We keep things pretty simple. There’s always someone around to talk to about classes. Usually, we’re just practicing or cleaning up the floor for the next group. It’s a small space but it works for us. We started out just wanting a place to practice and it grew into this. It's not a fancy academy, just a spot to learn some moves. Most days are just regular teaching days. We see the same faces every week. Some people stay for years. Chamrajpet is a nice neighborhood for a dance school because everyone knows everyone. It’s better than being in a big mall where nobody talks. We’re happy staying small and doing our own thing without any fuss. The mirrors need cleaning often and the sound system is old, but it works fine for our daily sessions. We are just here every day from afternoon until late evening.
