Archi Architects

We are over on Malleshwaram Street, right in the heart of Malleswaram. It’s a very old part of Bangalore, and we love the character and the history of the neighborhood. Our office is a bit like the area itself—a mix of old and new things. We do architectural work, so we are constantly looking at buildings and trying to figure out how to improve them or build new ones that fit in with the surroundings. We spend our days at our desks with our rulers and computer software, but we also spend a lot of time out on construction sites getting our shoes dirty and talking to workers. Malleswaram is a busy place with markets and temples nearby, so there is always a lot of energy and noise. We like being part of that. Our office isn't particularly organized; there are rolls of blueprints in the corners and samples of building materials everywhere you look. We aren't corporate people; we’re more like craftsmen who happen to use modern computers for our work. We talk a lot, argue a bit about different designs, and eventually come up with something that actually works. We’ve been doing this for many years and we still enjoy the challenge of a new project. We don't use a lot of fancy jargon or technical terms. We just talk to our clients like regular people and try to understand what they need. It’s a simple way to work, and it keeps us very busy.
