Anshul Dance Class

Koramangala 29 is where you can find Anshul Dance Class. If you know Bangalore, you know how the traffic can be, so most of our students arrive a bit stressed out from the commute. But once they step inside and kick off their shoes, the vibe changes. We’ve got a decent space with some mirrors and a sound system that we usually have to kick to get the Bluetooth to connect. It’s not a high-end studio with fancy lighting, just a plain room where people come to move. We teach all kinds of stuff, and the age range of our dancers is all over the place. You’ll have a five-year-old trying to do a spin in one corner and a businessman trying to learn a routine for a wedding in the other. It gets pretty loud and the floorboards sometimes feel like they might give way under all that jumping, but they’ve held up so far. We don’t have a lot of rules, just that you have to try your best and not bump into anyone else. We spend our nights teaching steps and laughing at our own mistakes. It’s a lot of physical work and my knees definitely feel it by the time we close up. But there is something about the music and the movement that makes everyone forget about their long day at work. We’re just a local spot for people to dance.
