Angeethi Restaurant

Down at Number 1 on Museum Road, you'll find us within the Museum Inn premises in Bangalore. We are very close to the KC Das shop, which most people around here use as a landmark. Being in this part of Bangalore means we deal with the city’s pace every day, with cars and people constantly moving past our doors. The building has been here for quite some time, and it has a bit of an old-fashioned feel to it that we haven't tried to change. Inside, the restaurant is a mix of busy kitchen sounds and the hum of the air conditioning. We spend our mornings getting the tables ready and checking that the kitchen has everything it needs for the day ahead. The staff has been with us for a while, so we all know how to work around each other in the smaller spaces. It’s a practical environment; we don’t go for anything too polished or corporate. We just want a place where people can come in from the noise of Museum Road and have a seat. Sometimes the rain in Bangalore catches everyone off guard, and the restaurant suddenly fills up with people looking for cover. We just keep doing what we do, serving food and keeping the place running until the last customer leaves and we can finally lock the doors for the night. It isn't a fancy life, but it keeps us busy and we like the routine.
