Ambica Engineering Works

We are tucked away at No. 17 on 3rd Main in Manivilas Garden. To find us, you have to go past the Veer Bhadreshwara Theater and look for the last bus stop in Kamala Nagar. It’s a bit of a trek if you don’t know the area, but we’ve been here in Basveshwara Nagar for a long time. The workshop is usually noisy with the sound of machines and metal. We do all the engineering work right here on site. It’s a greasy, hands-on environment. We don’t have an office that’s separate from the noise. We just work where the machines are. It’s a small team of us who know how to handle the equipment. We don't really have a front desk or anyone to answer the phones all day. Usually, we just wipe our hands and pick up the phone when it rings. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We just take in the jobs that come our way and try to get them finished on time. It’s practical work that requires a lot of patience and some heavy lifting. We don’t do any big promotions or ads. People just know where we are when they need something fixed or built. It’s a simple life in the workshop, and we like it that way because it's what we do best.
