We deal with industrial equipment and machinery, so the place often smells a bit like oil and metal. It’s a quiet office for the most part, with a few of us handling the paperwork and the technical queries that come in from around the state. We’ve been part of the Kerala scene for quite some time. The pace of work is steady but not frantic. We take our lunch breaks together, often talking about local news or what's happening in the district. The desks are old-fashioned wooden ones that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have a marketing department here; we just deal with the customers who need our specific parts or services. Most of the people who call us have been using our equipment for years and know exactly who to ask for. It’s a reliable way of working. We keep the files organized in big metal cabinets, and everything has its place. It might seem a bit old-school to some, but it works perfectly for the kind of work we do every day in Kozhikode. It is just our way of life.
