Alfa Engineering

Alfa Engineering is based in Peenya Industrial Area Khatri Pole 105, which is a pretty busy part of town. There is always the sound of machines or trucks moving around here, so it never really gets quiet. We’ve been working out of this unit for a while, mostly doing small-scale fabrication and some metal work that bigger factories don't want to bother with. The floor is usually covered in some oil and metal shavings, no matter how much we try to sweep it up at the end of the shift. We have a couple of lathes and a welding machine that have been with us since we opened. They aren't the newest models, but they get the job done if you know how to handle them. I started this place because I liked working with my hands and didn't want to sit in an office all day. We don't have a sales team or a fancy lobby for visitors. Most of our customers are other workshop owners from around Peenya who need a specific part made or something repaired quickly. We wear greasy overalls and spend most of the day shouting over the noise of the grinders. It is honest, heavy work and we take it as it comes. Sometimes we stay late to finish a piece if the customer is in a hurry. That’s just how it goes here in the industrial area, and we are used to the long hours. We just keep working.
