Ahmed Caterers

Our place is on Poha Street Cross, right near the Green Mosque in Shivaji Nagar. It is a very old part of the city, and the streets are quite narrow around here. At Number 4c, we spend most of our time dealing with large quantities of meat and rice. You can hear the mosque prayers while we work. The area is always crowded, with scooters and delivery carts moving past our door constantly. We do not have a big front office or a receptionist. If you come by, you will probably find us in the back near the stoves. It gets very hot in Shivaji Nagar during the summer, but the kitchen never stops. We have been doing this for a long time, so we know the local suppliers well. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit difficult to navigate, but we still manage to get the deliveries out. We do not use any complicated systems, just old-fashioned notebooks to keep track of who needs what. People trust us because we have been here in this neighborhood for years. We are not trying to be the biggest in town, just trying to do our work right. It is a lot of lifting heavy containers and making sure the fire is just right. That is what a typical day looks like for us at Ahmed Caterers.
