Down on Banneraghatta Road, specifically at 5 and 6 on Dnyan Mandir Road, you’ll find Aegis Bpo Services Ltd. It’s a BPO setup, so it’s pretty much always active. People are coming and going at all hours because the clocks don't really stop here. There are rows of desks with headsets everywhere. It can get pretty loud when everyone is on a call at the same time. We have a lot of young people working here, which keeps the energy up even during the graveyard shifts. The stairs are a bit worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. We’ve got a small cafeteria but most people prefer the stalls outside for a quick snack. It’s a lot of talking and typing, over and over. Sometimes the headsets break and we have to scramble for spares. The managers are around but they usually just grab a desk like everyone else. We don’t bother with much corporate talk. It’s just about answering the phones and helping whoever is on the other end. The neighborhood is always busy, with buses and cars constantly moving. It’s a grind sometimes, but the people make it bearable. We’ve got a mix of folks from all over, just trying to do their jobs well. It’s a plain, hardworking place that doesn't pretend to be more than what it is. We just focus on the calls.
