Adithi Saree Kendra

You can find us at 64 Main Road, right on Avenue Road. It’s a very crowded street, as anyone who lives around here knows. Adithi Saree Kendra is a small place but we keep a lot of stock inside. We have piles of sarees everywhere because there is never enough shelf space for everything we want to show people. Avenue Road is famous for its shops, and we are just one of the many people trying to make a living here. We get a lot of sunlight through the front window in the mornings, which is nice for looking at the colors of the silk and cotton. It’s mostly just us chatting with customers and helping them unfold things to see the patterns. We don't use any fancy sales tricks. We just show what we have and let people decide for themselves. The floor is usually covered in plastic wraps by midday because we are constantly pulling things down from the high shelves. It is noisy outside with the bikes and the pedestrians, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been at this address for quite a bit of time. People come in looking for something for a daughter's wedding or just a simple daily saree. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who comes by. It is a simple life and we like the routine of it.
