A M R Parcel Service is based at 39 New Tharagpet, right in the Church Compound on the 4th Main. This area is always full of activity because of all the goods being moved around. We spend our days surrounded by boxes, crates, and parcels of all shapes and sizes. It’s a bit of a dusty environment sometimes, but that’s just the nature of the parcel business in a place like Tharagpet. The Church Compound is a bit of a landmark for those who live and work around here. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Our work is pretty physical, involves a lot of loading and unloading, and making sure that every package is accounted for. We don’t have a big, polished front office; it’s more of a working warehouse space where things actually happen. We handle a lot of local deliveries and also stuff going further away. It’s a lot of manual tracking and talking to the drivers who come in and out all day long. We just focus on getting the parcels to where they need to go without any extra fuss. It’s a simple operation, really. We open up, get to work on the morning shipments, and keep going until the last truck is gone. It’s just what we know how to do every single day.
