Perfect Machine Fabric

Our workshop is located in the Angol Industrial Estate over in Udyambag. We are at D-62. It’s a busy area with a lot of noise from all the factories around us. We have been here for some time now working with different types of fabrics and machines. It’s mostly industrial work. The floor is usually covered in scraps and the machines are running most of the day. It gets quite hot in the afternoons during the summer. We don't have a front office or anything like that. If you come by, you'll just see us working. The estate is a bit dusty but that’s just how it is in Udyambag. We handle a lot of heavy material. Sometimes the trucks blocking the road make it hard to get in, but we make it work. It’s a tough job but we’ve been doing it a long while. My hands are usually dirty from the oil and the fabric dust. We just focus on the orders we have. There’s always something to fix or a machine that needs oiling. We don't spend much time on the phone. Most of the guys here have been with me for years. We know the machines inside out. It’s not a place for a suit and tie. We just get the fabric ready and move on to the next pile. It's loud, it's greasy, and we like it that way because it means we have work to do every single day.
