Mahesh Foundation's Utkarsha Learning Center is right here in Belgaum, tucked away at the government school building in Siddeshwar Nagar. If you walk down towards Kanbargi, you’ll find us at 792/1. The place isn’t anything fancy, just a few rooms where we get things done every day. In the mornings, the sun hits the front gate and the whole area gets pretty bright. We have a lot of local kids coming in and out, so there is always a bit of noise from the hallways. The desks are a little old and the fans make that clicking sound, but it works for what we need. It can get quite dusty on this side of town when the wind picks up, so we are usually sweeping the floors a couple of times. Most of our staff lives nearby in the Kanbargi area, so we just walk or take a cycle to get here. We spend a lot of time sitting around the main table talking about the day’s schedule or finishing up paperwork for the foundation. It feels like a regular part of the neighborhood, and the people living around Siddeshwar Nagar usually see us heading out for tea in the afternoons. There’s no big sign or anything flashy, just the school walls and the sound of lessons going on throughout the morning. It is a simple setup but we have been here at this address for a good while now.
