Shri Hotel

Shri Hotel is located inside Vishnu Bhavan. We are at 3557 Shanivar Koot in Belgaum. Shardha Bhavan is just nearby, so people use that as a landmark to find us. It’s an old building, and it has a lot of character, even if the paint is peeling in some corners. We have rooms for people who are traveling through the city. Most of our guests are businessmen or families visiting relatives. It’s a busy area and there’s always something happening on the street outside. We hear the scooters and the people talking all day long. I’ve lived here a long time, so I’m used to the noise. The lobby is small and we have a heavy wooden desk where we keep the register. We don’t use a lot of computers here; we still like writing things down in the books. It feels more real that way. The rooms are basic with beds and fans. We make sure the sheets are clean, but don't expect luxury. It’s just a place to sleep and wash up. Sometimes the plumbing acts up because the pipes are old, but we fix it as soon as we can. We take care of the place ourselves, my brother and me. It’s a lot of walking up and down the stairs all day. We just try to be helpful to anyone who stays with us and make sure they have what they need.
