Hotel Ganesh Darshani

Hotel Ganesh Darshani is located in the Renuka Building on S G Road in Sankeshwar. We are right opposite the Sankeshwar Bus Stop, which is very handy for people coming in on the long-distance buses. You just walk across the road and you're here. We see a lot of tired people every day. Most just want a quick wash and a few hours of sleep before their next bus. The building is a bit older, so it has its quirks. We have some plants out front that I try to keep alive, though the dust from the road makes it hard. Inside, it's pretty straightforward. We have the desk right near the entrance. It's usually me or my brother sitting there. We don't use computers much; we still have the big ledger books for names. It feels more real that way. Sometimes the electricity goes out in Belgaum, so we keep some candles and torches ready for the guests. It’s a bit of a busy street, especially in the mornings when the buses are honking. If you're a light sleeper, it might be tough. But for most, the convenience is what matters. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. Cleaning rooms, talking to travelers, and watching the buses go by. It’s a simple business. We don't try to be anything we're not. There's a tea stall nearby that makes good ginger tea, which we usually recommend to people when they arrive.
