Hotel Madhura

Hotel Madhura sits right at the Belgundi Cross on Vengurla Road. If you know Uchgaon in Belgaum, you probably have passed us a few times. We are a small place, nothing too big, and we mostly look after people who are traveling toward the coast or coming into the city for personal work. The 591128 area is quite nice, though it can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up on the road. We spend our time making sure the rooms are tidy and that the water is available for the guests. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you will usually see one of us sitting at the small desk near the entrance. We don't have any of those fancy computerized check-in systems, just a simple register book where we write down your name. The traffic at the crossroad can be a bit much in the mornings, but it settles down. We’ve lived in Belgaum for a long time and decided to open this place because there weren't many simple spots to stay near this junction. We do our own maintenance and try to keep the plants out front alive, even when it’s hot. People stop here because it’s convenient and they know they won't have to deal with any complicated rules. It’s just a roof over your head and a friendly face when you arrive after a long day of driving.
