Hotel Rahat

Our place, Hotel Rahat, is at number 2996 in Khade Bazaar. We are very close to the Central Bus Stand, which is why we stay so busy most days. Belgaum is a place where a lot of people are coming and going, especially with the buses running at all hours. You can hear the conductors shouting destinations from our front door. It’s a very lively neighborhood. Khade Bazaar is full of shops and people looking for deals. We aren't a big corporation, just a local business trying to provide a decent spot for travelers. The rooms are basic and we keep them as clean as we can, though the dust from the bus stand is a never-ending battle. I spend a lot of my time answering the phone and making sure the linen is washed. We don't have a big lobby with fancy sofas. Most people just want to drop their bags and head out to the market or catch their next bus. The 590001 area is the center of everything here. Sometimes we have issues with the electricity when there’s a storm, but we have some backup lights. We know most of the shopkeepers on the street, and we often send our guests to the little tea stall next door. It’s a noisy, busy, and honest way to make a living in this part of Belgaum.
