Griha Laxmi Metal Industries

Griha Laxmi Metal Industries is located at Plot No. N-13 in the Industrial Estate at Udyambag. Metal work is what we do, and the shop shows it. There are stacks of sheets and offcuts piled up in the corners, and the smell of iron is everywhere. It’s not a quiet place to work. Between the cutting and the grinding, you usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the noise. We’ve been in Udyambag for a good while now, and we’ve seen plenty of other shops come and go. Our setup is pretty basic. We have the heavy machinery on the main floor and a small mezzanine where the paperwork gets handled. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a big load of raw material delivered, but we make it work. The guys on the floor are the ones who really keep the place going. They know how to handle the metal so there’s not too much waste. We don't have a big philosophy or a mission statement pinned to the wall. We just have a calendar with the delivery dates marked in red ink. When the monsoon hits, the rain on the metal roof is so loud we can barely hear the machines, but we still keep the production moving. It’s just a normal, hardworking shop where we focus on the metal and don’t worry about much else.
