SUGUNA MACHINES

SUGUNA MACHINES is based out in Batala, Punjab, right near the railway crossing on Dhir Road. You can’t miss it because every time a train goes by, the whole place shakes a little bit. We’ve gotten so used to it that we don't even pause our conversations anymore. Batala has a long history with machines and casting, and we are just another part of that tradition. Our workshop is full of heavy iron parts and the smell of machine oil. It’s quite cold in the winters here, so we all wear heavy jackets while we work on the floor. In the summer, it’s the opposite and we’re all sweating by ten in the morning. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team that makes cold calls. Most people just walk in or call us because they know we’ve been here for years. There are always pieces of scrap metal lying around and tools that need to be put back in their place. We spend a lot of time on the lathe machines and checking the measurements. It’s honest work that leaves your clothes a bit dirty at the end of the shift. We usually close up around sunset and head home after making sure the gates are locked tight. It’s just how things have been done here for a long time.
