Subham Salon & Gents Parlour

Subham Salon & Gents Parlour is located right near the Tarapukur 5 No Rail Gate. If you are from this part of Kolkata, you probably know the Gouranga Mistanno Vander sweet shop nearby. We are just a short distance from there. It is a busy spot because of the rail gate, and there is always people moving back and forth. Our shop is a typical gents parlour where we do haircuts, shaves, and head massages. It is a small, practical space. We have a couple of chairs and the usual tools of the trade. The sound of the trains passing by is something we have just gotten used to over the years. We open up early because a lot of men like to get their shaving done before they head off to work or the train station. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have some posters on the walls and a TV that is usually on a news channel or a cricket match. It gets busy during the holidays and wedding season when everyone wants to look a bit sharper. We do not take appointments; you just show up and wait your turn on the bench. It is a very local vibe. We know the families in the 700109 area pretty well. We have seen kids grow up and start coming in for their own haircuts. It is just a regular part of the neighborhood, sitting there by the rail gate doing what we do every day.
