Ariyana Makeup Studio

We are over at 05, Badamtala Road. It is quite close to the Beltala Sporting Club in Kamarhati. This part of Kolkata gets busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. Ariyana Makeup Studio is basically just a few of us working with brushes and palettes every day. We have been in this spot for a bit now. Most days, someone is sitting in the chair getting their eyes done or hair pinned up for a local wedding. The mirrors are large and the lights are bright enough to see every detail. Sometimes the tea guy from down the street brings us a round of cups while we work. It is not a very big space, but it fits what we need. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. People stop by to ask about prices or just to see what we are doing. The floor gets covered in hair or bits of cotton by the end of the day, so we spend a lot of time sweeping. It is just a regular shop where we try to get the liner straight and the hair to stay put. You can find us easily because of the big sign near the corner. It is just a practical place for people in Kamarhati to get ready without having to travel too far into the main city. We keep a few chairs for people to wait in.
