Nandu Hair Cutting

Nandu Hair Cutting is situated at 36 Ghola Road, right in the Nandan Nagar Bazar area of Kolkata. Being in the bazaar means there is always something happening around us. You can hear the vegetable sellers and the general noise of the market from the shop. We have been here at this address, 700051, for a long time. It is a simple setup. We have the standard chairs and the old mirrors that have seen a lot of years. People usually come in after they finish their shopping in the market. It’s convenient for them. We don’t really do fancy styling or anything like that. It is mostly just short cuts and clean shaves for the men in the neighborhood. The space is small, but we keep it tidy as much as we can. On rainy days, the road outside gets a bit messy, but people still come in to get their work done. We like being part of the Nandan Nagar community. Most of our regulars have been coming to us since they were kids. Now they bring their own children. It is a very basic place, no air conditioning or anything, just a couple of ceiling fans that keep the air moving. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everyone leaves looking decent. The shop has its own rhythm, and we are used to the market noise by now.
