New Sealdah Saloon

New Sealdah Saloon is out in Rahara, Kharda, on the Station Road. Being near the station means it is always hectic around here. You can hear the trains whistling and the sound of people rushing to catch their ride. It’s a narrow street, so everything feels a bit crowded most of the time. Our shop is just a small room with enough space for a couple of people to work and a few more to sit and wait on the side. The walls have some posters on them that have been there for years, mostly just things to look at while you’re in the chair. We have a big spray bottle and a drawer full of different clippers and scissors. The lighting isn't the brightest, but it works for what we need to do. Kharda is a busy area, and being on Station Road means we see a lot of different faces every day. Some people are in a huge hurry to get to the train and others have more time to talk about their day. We just handle it as it comes. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping it into the corner. It’s a practical place, built for work and not for showing off to anyone. We’ve been at this address in West Bengal for a long time and the locals know us well enough. It’s just a standard day-to-day business.
