Sen Gents Parlour

Sen Gents Parlour is located right in the middle of the Sidheswari Bazar area on M B Road. Because we are in the bazar, it is always very lively outside with vendors and shoppers. Our shop is a small unit that we have had for a good many years. It is a very straightforward place. We have the standard barber chairs and a couple of wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait. The walls are painted a light color, though they could probably use a new coat soon. We get a lot of people who are just passing through the market or those who live in the nearby lanes. It is a men’s parlour, so the conversation is usually about local politics or sports. We do not have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that stay on all day. It can get a bit sweaty in the summer months, but that is just Kolkata for you. We do not use any high-end products, just the stuff you find in most local shops. The staff is just me and one other guy. We work long hours, especially before festivals when everyone wants to look their best. If you are down at Sidheswari Bazar, you will find us easily. Just look for the sign on M B Road. We are usually there from early morning until the market starts to close up at night.
