S B Creation

S B Creation is located on the 3rd Lane of Olai Chandi Tala. We are right by the Akota Club, which is a place everyone around this neighborhood knows well. It’s a bit tucked away from the main path, so you really have to look for our sign to find us. We do a lot of creative work here, mostly focused on sewing and different types of fabric projects. My sister and I run the place with just a couple of helpers who come in daily. The main room is almost always full of thread, rolls of cloth, and various scraps. It’s certainly not the most organized place in the world, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Kolkata has a lot of places similar to ours, but we just try to do our own thing and stay quiet. We started out in a tiny corner of our family house and then eventually moved here to 39 Olai Chandi Tala. It gets a bit cramped when we have a big order to finish, but we always make it work somehow. Sometimes we end up staying quite late when a deadline is coming up fast. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. Most people just walk in or give us a call on the phone. We’ve lived in this neighborhood our whole lives, so we know just about everyone on the lane. The Akota Club guys are always out playing carrom or talking nearby. It’s a lively spot.
