We are located at 49, Vivekananda Sarani in Kolkata, specifically at the place of Gautam Paul. It’s a familiar spot for those of us who live in the 79 area. Alliant Technologies Pvt Ltd isn’t a massive corporate skyscraper, it’s more of a local setup. The street outside is usually crowded with people heading to the market or the station. You can hear the rickshaws and the chatter from the windows all day. Inside, we have our desks set up in a way that’s a bit cramped but we make it work. There’s a lot of cables and hardware lying around because that’s the nature of what we do. The lighting is a bit dim in the back corner, but nobody really complains. We’ve got a routine here that involves a lot of typing and checking things on screens. It's a bit of a trek to get here if the rains are heavy, as the road sometimes gets a little muddy. We just carry on regardless. Most of us have been working here for a decent amount of time, so we know each other's habits well. There isn't any fancy dress code or big meetings that last for hours. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and try to finish before it gets too dark. It’s a honest day’s work in a part of Kolkata that feels like home to us. It is just a normal office.
