Pritam Saloon

Pritam Saloon is tucked away in the Ushumpur Bazaar area of Agarpara. We are located quite near the Texmaco Company, so we get a lot of workers coming in after their shifts. The bazaar is always loud and full of people, and our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s a small space, just enough for a couple of chairs and a small area to stand. The walls are painted a simple color, and we have some old shelves for our combs and razors. It gets very busy during the festival seasons. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long while you’re sitting in the chair. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit. There’s a slight crack in one of the mirrors, but it doesn't get in the way of the work. We use simple tools and don’t have any of those fancy electric gadgets some newer places use. Most of our customers are regulars who live in the surrounding streets. They come in for a shave and a chat about the local news. The tea stall is right next door, so we often have a cup while we wait for the next person. It’s a humble place, but it serves the community well. We don't need much more than our hands and a sharp blade. It’s a steady way to spend the day.
