At Mamata Luxury Hair Cutting Salon, we spend our days at 114 Nimta G. B Road. We are very close to the Thakur Tala Mondir, which is a big landmark around here. Even though the name says luxury, we are actually quite a down-to-earth place. We just try to provide a decent space for people in the neighborhood to get their grooming done. The shop is located in the Thakur Tala area of Kolkata. It’s a lively part of town. Inside, we have our stations set up and we keep things moving as quickly as we can without rushing. We get all sorts of customers, from young students to older men who live just down the street. It’s a neighborhood spot through and through. We don't use any fancy machines, just good scissors and combs. My family has lived in this part of Kolkata for a long time, so we know most of the people who walk through the door. Sometimes we have tea while waiting for the next person to arrive. The floors get swept a dozen times a day because we don't like the place looking untidy. G. B Road is usually crowded, so the salon feels like a little break from the chaos outside. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just stay open and do our work every day.
