Art Salon

Art Salon is located at 1/4 R N Tagore Road. We are pretty easy to find if you are near Tagore Park in the 700076 area of Kolkata. The park is nice to have nearby because it brings a lot of people out for walks in the evenings. We get a fair amount of business from folks just passing by after their stroll. The shop itself is quite modest. We have a few pictures on the wall, but nothing too elaborate. We try to keep the place cool during the hot months, but sometimes the sun hits the front window and it gets a bit warm inside. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The street is usually lined with trees which gives a bit of shade. Our regular customers often come in and just sit for a while to chat even if they don't need anything done right then. It’s that kind of place. We don't have any big corporate rules or anything. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first person to show up. Sometimes it’s a student from the local college, other times it’s a retiree who has lived on R N Tagore Road his whole life. It’s a good mix of people. We enjoy the work and the company. The chairs are old but sturdy, and we make sure the tools are always ready for whoever walks in next.
