Prakhyat Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located out in Meerganj, near Bareilly, and our group is run through Ramesh Chand’s place in Guladiyarj. It’s a simple agro company where we focus on what the local farmers are growing in their fields. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy building, just a few of us who try to keep things organized for the rest of the members. Farming around here can be tough, so we figured that by working together, we could handle the buyers and the transport a lot better than we did on our own. We spend a lot of time talking to the guys in the village about what they’re planting and when they think they’ll be ready to harvest. Ramesh keeps the records at his house, and that’s where we go when we need to settle the accounts. It’s not always smooth sailing, and sometimes we have arguments about the best way to move the produce, but we always manage to get through it. We just want to make sure the families in this part of Bareilly can keep their farms going without getting taken advantage of by middle-men. It’s practical, everyday work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the crops we grow with our own sweat actually pay the bills at the end of the month. It's just a bunch of neighbors helping each other out.
