Khateta Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Started at Pramod Kumar Khateta's place in Aonla. We are basically a group of farmers from the Bareilly area. It gets busy during harvest time around here. We decided to put our names together as Khateta Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited because it’s easier to deal with things as a group. There is a lot of paperwork usually, but we try to keep it simple. Most days you’ll find us talking about seeds or the market price in Uttar Pradesh. The address is 243302 if you’re looking for the mail. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that. It's just a room where we keep the records and talk. Some of us have been farming since we were kids. Aonla is a quiet place mostly. We deal with whatever crops are in season. When the sun is hot, we take it slow, but there is always work to do. If someone needs help with their tools or selling their grain, they come by. It’s not a corporate thing, just local people trying to make things work better for everyone in the village. We didn't want to go to the big city for work, so we stay here and do this. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside. That's how it goes. We are just trying to be fair and keep the farm running well.
