Out here in Gopalpur Azizpur, things move a little slower than in the main city of Bareilly. Our college is located in the 243202 zip code area. It is a place where local students come to study after they finish school. The grounds are okay, nothing too special, just some space for people to walk between classes. We have the basic rooms for different subjects. It gets quite dusty in the summer months, but that is just how it is in this part of Uttar Pradesh. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know each other pretty well. It’s a small place compared to the big universities, but it serves the people living around here. You might see a few cows near the gate sometimes, or students sitting under the trees when it is hot out. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people coming and going, it is a constant job. There isn't much noise except for the students talking or the occasional tractor passing by on the road outside. It is an honest place to get an education without any big fuss. The electricity goes out once in a while, so we just open the windows for some light. It’s just a normal day for us in Bareilly. We don't let it stop the lessons. We just do our work and help the students with their forms and their classes every day of the week.
