Chandra Prakesh Memorial Inter College

This college is located in Dhantiya, which is part of the Bareilly district. We are out here in the 243501 area, serving the local students who need to finish their intermediate schooling. The campus is a straightforward one with several blocks for different subjects. It’s not a fancy place with a lot of modern glass and steel, just solid brick buildings that have been here for years. You’ll find students sitting in the courtyards between classes or walking down the dusty paths that lead to the main gate. The teachers spend their time in the staff rooms grading papers or in the classrooms lecturing. We have the standard labs for science and some space for sports, though it’s all very basic. We don’t use much technology; it’s mostly just textbooks and chalkboards. It can get quite hot in the summer, but the students are used to the local climate. Most of them come from the surrounding villages or the outskirts of Bareilly. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just open the gates in the morning and the teachers do their work. It’s a practical place for students to get their education without any unnecessary distractions. People in Dhantiya know who we are and where to find us. We just keep the routine going year after year, helping kids get through their exams so they can move on to whatever is next for them.
