Our facility is located in the village of Ikrah, near Jamuria in the Burdwan district. We’ve been part of this landscape for a long time now. Ramajee Ispat is where we handle a lot of iron and steel. The yard is the heart of our business. It’s a wide-open space filled with stacks of metal and heavy equipment. We don’t have a polished office. Our main workspace is a small building right near the entrance where we track the weights and the truck movements. It’s a loud place, with the sound of metal clanging and engines running most of the time. We don't wear suits here; we wear work clothes that can stand up to the iron dust. The weather really affects our day. When it’s too hot, the metal is hard to touch, and when it rains, the ground gets soft. We just work around it. Our staff are mostly local people who have learned the trade on the job. We don’t bother with promotional brochures or big advertisements. Most of our clients are builders and contractors who have known us for a generation. We keep our records in thick books and on a basic computer. It’s a straightforward operation without any hidden layers. We value the fact that people can just show up and talk to us directly. It’s a tough business but it’s what we know how to do best for our local customers and partners.
