Iisco Steel Plant, Sail

We have been over here on Burnpur Station Road for a long time now. Most people around West Burdwan know where the Iisco Steel Plant is because it takes up so much space in the area. It is a busy spot every single day. The gates at Sail open up early and the shifts start moving. You can hear the noise from the road and see the trucks coming in and out constantly. It is a lot of heavy metal and hard work for everyone involved. We do not really do much fancy talking around here. People just show up, do their jobs, and go home. The district has changed a bit over the years but this plant just keeps sitting right there in Burnpur. There are a lot of different departments and it can get pretty loud during the day. Sometimes the traffic on the station road gets backed up when the shifts change. That is just how things go in an industrial area like this. We deal with a lot of steel and it gets hot. If you walk past, you will see the old buildings and the newer parts mixed together. It is not a quiet place but it is steady. Everyone around here knows someone who works here or used to. It is just part of the landscape in this part of West Burdwan. We just keep the machines running and handle whatever needs doing on the floor.
