Sm Watch Works

If you are looking for Sm Watch Works, we are down in the basement of Maruthi Plaza. That is over in Chickpet Block D, right across from the Khaleel Building. You have to go down the stairs to find us. It is a small shop, but we have been here in Balepet for quite a long time. The space is filled with old clocks and watches that need fixing. We spend most of our hours sitting at the workbenches under the bright lamps. It can be very quiet because we have to focus on the tiny parts and gears inside the watches. Sometimes you can hear the ticking of a hundred different clocks all at once. We have a lot of tools scattered around, like tiny screwdrivers and magnifying glasses. People bring in things that haven't worked in years, and we see what we can do. The basement stays a bit cooler than the street outside, which is nice during the summer months. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are in here at once. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy, just the work we do every day. Most of the people who come in are locals from the Chickpet area who know where we are. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is on the bench that day. It is a slow kind of work but it is what we do.
