A R Khaleel Watch Agency is tucked away in the Chickpet area at 288 Khaleel Buildings. We have been situated here for a very long time, right in the middle of all the daily market bustle. Chickpet is almost always crowded with people and carts, so getting to our door can be a bit of a squeeze, but that is just how life is in this part of the city. Once you step inside the shop, things feel a bit different. The room is filled with the constant, quiet sound of hundreds of watches ticking. We have all sorts of clocks and watches displayed around the walls. Some are brand new, while others are old pieces that people have brought in to see if they can be made to run again. We spend a lot of our time hunched over workbenches with small tools and magnifying glasses. It is very delicate work, and your eyes can get quite tired after a few hours of it. We do not have a big, modern showroom. It is more of a traditional shop where the items are kept in old glass cases. People stop by to get a battery changed or to fix a broken leather strap. Sometimes someone brings in a family heirloom that hasn't ticked in twenty years. We do what we can to help. The building has stayed in the family, and we have seen the whole neighborhood change.
