You can find us at M.S. International Inc. over on Serpentine Road in Kumarapark (West). We’re at number 19. It’s a quiet enough street compared to some of the main roads around here. Working with stone is what we do every day. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure things are cut right. The name sounds big, but we’re just people working in an office and a yard. Kumarapark is a nice area, and we’ve gotten used to the neighbors. Most of the time, we’re just dealing with the logistics of moving stone from one place to another. It’s not always easy. Sometimes the trucks are late or the stone doesn't look like the last batch. That’s just nature for you. You can't control how granite looks underground. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at crates. There’s a certain smell to a stone yard—wet rock and dust—and we’re used to it. We don't have a big fancy showroom with lights and music. It’s more about the actual product and getting it to the people who need it. If you walk into the office, you’ll see us surrounded by paperwork and maybe a few samples. We just try to get through the day’s tasks and make sure the orders are right. It is a steady life and we have been at it for years. Nothing too complicated about it really.
